If your child makes a threat at school, you could be on the hook for thousands of dollars – if state lawmakers have their way.
A bill, introduced by Sen. Jim Hughes, R-Columbus, would allow school leaders to sue parents and guardians for costs associated with serious, confirmed threats from expelled students.

Recently, a 15-year-old boy threatened to blow up every school within a 50 mile-radius of Cincinnati. A concerning Instagram post led to charges for two Butler County teens.
