13 Ohio students to perform in Macy's parade band

HILLIARD, Ohio (AP) -- Macy's says 13 performers from five Ohio high schools have been chosen this year to march in a student band for its annual Thanksgiving Day parade.

The company says students from all 50 states will make up the band of 185 musicians with 40 flags and dancers.

Four of the selected students are from Hilliard Bradley High School in central Ohio, west of Columbus. Marysville and Brecksville-Broadview high schools are sending three students each. Two musicians are from Perrysburg, and one is from Grove City.

The Lakota West High School marching band from West Chester in southwest Ohio also is on the lineup for the parade in New York City.
