Kits for Kids/Homeless Youth Dinner

HUNTSVILLE, UTAH - You can help homeless children in Ogden area!  Tragically, some kids find the need to run away from families that abuse them or to flee from where they no longer fit in.  Some of these runaways end up in good foster homes or other solutions, but others end up homeless.  There are no overnight shelters in Utah for unaccompanied minors.

KITS FOR KIDS ITEMS NEEDED BY DECEMBER 15TH

You can help homeless children nearby!  Pick up an ornament on the bulletin board in the social hall of St. Florence with a gift listed on it ( a backpack or sleeping bag) and bring it back to the church by December 15th. New or gently used items are welcome. You may also bring in hygiene items such as deodorant, soap, wipes, shampoo, Band-Aids, hand sanitizer, etc. Other gifts, such as emergency blankets, bus tokens, grocery gift card, restaurant gift cards (like Subway, McDonalds, etc.), and canned stew or hearty soup  are welcome.

Please turn in your donations by Dec. 15th. We will finalize the packs and present them to OUTreach Resource Center in Ogden on Dec. 18th, at which time we will also be cooking a dinner. Contact: Kraig Hanson or Jill Bergovoy for questions:  Kraig@HBHome.Org  435-214-2133
